Rhodiens en escapades chez nos voisins Sonégiens. Nous avons découvert une belle partie de Soignies que l’on ne connaissait pas sous cet angle. Très chouette balade au parcours mixte
Soignies is a charming thousand-year-old town nestled in a green setting. The preserved historic centre, the Romanesque collegiate church, the ramparts and the houses with their vintage facades make Soignies a delight for lovers of beautiful old stones. And not just any old stones! Everything in this town revolves around blue stone that has been quarried here for hundreds of years and can be found in every street and alley.
Soignies, a rural entity, is also rich in castles, farms and rural landscapes, which make it an ideal place for a stroll.
Soignies is also home to local producers; restaurants and shops that will give you a warm welcome and help you discover their specific and consistently high quality products.
So, feel free to explore our town in many different ways. You will be surprised!
