What is Totemus?
Totemus turns your walks into life-size treasure hunts.
Free and available all year round, the application invites you to (re)discover a region in a different way, on your own, with family or friends.
Follow the route, solve the riddles and let yourself be guided to unusual places, heritage treasures or corners of unspoilt nature.
Each stage is a new discovery, a blend of fun, culture and adventure.
How do you get started?
Download the Totemus application
It’s free on the App Store and Google Play, so you can easily view the courses and play.
Create your player account
Simply enter your e-mail address and a password, and your account will be created. You’re ready to go!
Confirm app authorisations
Authorise localisation while hunting: this will automatically validate your stop-off points.
Solve puzzles to progress in the hunt
Take a step-by-step tour through a variety of enigmas designed to get you observing, thinking… and moving to the right place.
You’ll come across observation questions on real details (façades, plaques, works of art), multiple choice questions, puzzles and brainteasers (rebus, anagrams, logic), photo clues, QR codes to find and scan, geolocation validation, and symbols to match to reveal the location of the final totem pole.
Each route follows a narrative that links the stages and immerses you in the history of the site.
The aim is to provide a challenge that’s accessible, stimulating and rooted in the local area.
Find the totem pole & win Toteez
Each hunt ends with a unique moment: the discovery of the totem pole. It’s proof that you’ve reached the end of the adventure and unravelled all its mysteries.
Each time you find a totem, you’ll earn Toteez, the Totemus virtual currency, and virtual badges to add to your collection.
So you can immortalise your exploits and keep a souvenir of every hunt you complete.
Take home a unique souvenir of your adventure
At the end of each hunt, a Totemus pin will be waiting for you at one of our tourist partners.
It’s the perfect way to celebrate your success and take home a tangible souvenir of your adventure.
Each pin represents the animal totem of the province or department where you played.
Simply drop in at the partner location indicated on the route sheet to collect it free of charge at the end of your hunt.
As you make new discoveries, collect these unique pins and keep track of all the regions you’ve explored with Totemus.
What to do with your Toteez?
Your Toteez aren’t just points: they give youaccess to the Gift Grotto, an area full of real rewards.
The more you play, the more Toteez you accumulate, which you can exchange for tickets to theme parks, cultural visits, holidays, etc. It’s an original way to extend your adventure with our partners and discover other places across Belgium and France.
Join a large, committed community
Use the application to keep track of your friends, compare your performances and take on challenges thanks to rankings and statistics. It’s a fun way to challenge yourself and share your discoveries!
On the social networks, the community can be found in the Facebook group “Les chasseurs de Totems“, where players can share their experiences, photos and favourites.

Magnifique promenade nature à réaliser avec des enfants. Des passages époustouflants et des connaissances enrichies le long du parcours pas trop difficile et pas trop long.
4,8 car on ne voit pas un château mais c'est très chouette dans la campagne. Centre du village animé et à l'étape de la surprise, les jours et heures d'ouverture sont du mardi au vendredi de 10h à 11h30 et de 12h30 à 17h30, le samedi de 10h à 17h30 et le dimanche de 10h à 12h30. Et c'est en fin de chasse. 😃

À l’assaut de la Citadelle de Namur
Vraiment très sympa, de très belles vues sur Jambes et Namur et on peut découvrir pas mal d'endroit sur la citadelle 😊 Totemus réalisé avec une enfant de 9 et une personne de 65 ans. Tout à fait accessible (même si ça grimpe un peu à certains moments 😅)
