Of all the municipalities in the Flanders Lys region, Haverskerque has the most obscure origins. This small, nature-filled village, bordered by the Lys River and the Nieppe Forest, boasts surprising legends, serveral mysteries, and picturesque sites such as the charming Flanders Lys marina and a Hallekerque, a Flemish church.
As you follow the paths alongside the Lys, you will discover secret legends and historical episodes from Haverskerque’s past, from the Middle Ages to the Second World War. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled as you explore the surrounding area, and prepare to be amazed! Happy hunting!

Bonjour,
