Visit to the Brussels Comic Strip Museum

A wonderful world where comics are Queen

In the heart of Brussels, the Musée de la BD is a unique place where you can discover the ninth art in all its richness and diversity. Housed in an Art Nouveau masterpiece designed by Victor Horta and inaugurated in 1906, the building offers an exceptional showcase for over 100 years of Belgian graphic art, notably through its permanent exhibition of almost 400 square metres, “A Century of Belgian Comics”.

For over 35 years, the museum has been celebrating comics through its permanent exhibitions and an ambitious programme of temporary exhibitions, including “Métal Hurlant. Embarquement immédiat”, “Abracada’Brume”, “Idéfix et Cie. The great story of a little dog” and “Imbattable! Beyond the Boxes”. From original comic strips to rare documents, from interactive displays to immersive installations, the Musée de la BD takes a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and the diversity of genres that make up the ninth art.

Both a tribute to the pioneers of the medium and a showcase for the contemporary scene, the Musée de la BD is aimed at everyone – fans, the curious, families and professionals alike. From April 2026, we’ll be bringing you the famous Danish teddy bear for the “Petzi. A teddy bear forever”. In June 2026, we’ll be heading for the world of the “Seuls” series, a world of anxiety and mystery. And that’s not all… but let’s keep the suspense a little longer.

See you soon at the Brussels Comic Strip Museum.
