Keramis was built on the site of the former Boch earthenware factory in La Louvière.
Its bold, contemporary architecture encompasses a listed building containing three imposing bottle kilns, the last examples of their kind in Belgium. The museum highlights the tangible and intangible evidence of the activity that once flourished on the site of the former Boch factory.
Keramis also houses a vast collection of modern and contemporary ceramics. As well as retrospectives of historical figures, the museum devotes a large part of its programme to group or solo exhibitions by contemporary artists.
Keramis organises a wide range of activities for the general public in itsexhibition rooms and workshops (guided tours, ceramics workshops, training courses, lectures, etc.). For the full calendar of events, go to www.keramis.be
Tuesdays from 9am to 5pm and Wednesdays to Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Closed on Mondays, 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January, as well as during the La Louvière carnival.
