On 3 July 2025, Totemus is already celebrating its 5th anniversary đ
Five years of treasure hunts, regional discoveries, miles travelled and unforgettable memories created thanks to you. It’s the perfect opportunity to take stock of what’s been achieved… and what’s just around the corner!
5 years of adventure and continuous progress đșïž
Since its launch in 2020, Totemus has designed 257 courses, 240 of which are currently active.
In five years, more than 850,000 players have explored our regions with their smartphones and a desire to get away from it all. It’s a growing success, with every month in 2025 having exceeded its 2024 equivalent in terms of the number of participants!
This momentum has generated more than âŹ3.9 million in economic spin-offs for local tourism operators đ¶ A figure that demonstrates the positive impact of the fun, local tourism we are promoting.
An expansion that’s gathering pace đ
Last year was marked by strong growth in France: we went from 14 to 30 routes, mainly in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais regions… but perhaps soon in a new dĂ©partement? đ
In Belgium, we were delighted to announce the arrival of two new provinces: Limburg, where the first courses are already available, and Antwerp, which will soon be joining the Totemus adventure.
New formats, new experiences đš
The year 2025 also marks the arrival of hybrid routes, with hunts taking place partly in museums. These routes are proving extremely popular, and many other cultural adventures are already in the pipeline!
An evolving application đČ
Totemus is also an app that grows with you:
- A graphic redesign has been rolled out to make navigation smoother and more enjoyable.
- The Grotte aux Cadeaux (Gift Grotto) can now be accessed directly from the app, and many of you exchange your toteez there đ
- And that’s not all… Before long, new features will spice up your experience even more. Stay tuned, they might surprise you đ
